And people say that because Urdu doesn't link with earnings and livelihood therefore doesn't have any relevance and concern amongst the important languages on the planet even this language according to most of them facing a threat of extinction! But look how would you say this when people like azra raza a renowned research biologist still has a time to cherish and adore the language with her deep fervour and blowing ecstasy in enjoying this language! Mind it Urdu is the only language on this planet that is flowing against the tides of hate dislike and avoidance by many with ease and confidence so no matter whether Urdu establishes link with making money or not this language will and shall inshaAllah continue to rule over entire subcontinent and beyond as a galvanizing force among the people to enjoy its melodious lyrical and prolific expressive beauty in literature and poetry art and culture tv and cenima religion and academia!

Hoti Nahi’n hai Yunhi Ada ye namaz e Ishq Ya’n shart hai ke apne lahu se Wuzu karo… It’s from one of his ghazals from his kulyaat. It’s there on rekhta also. Loved your passionate n beautifully rendered note on this Maverick poet Siraj Aurangabadi’s ghazal and much more.
Adab Huma, how lovely that you actually listened to this talk and found your Dad's sher in it. I LOVE that ghazal! So so beautiful. After a long time, I have heard a person : so articulate and erudite. Yet, passionate for Urdu, a language which has lost much of its value in the current times.
Yes you are right now Urdu looks like the umrao jaan e ada a most stunningly beautiful girl of a noble family ruined in the hands of ill mannered non civilized attitude of the society at large!!

You might want to re-check accuracy of line 3 (shah-e-bekhudi …) at “ab-woh.” There’s no “woh” in this line. Sorry, I don’t mean to be nitpicking 🙂.
